Every year in Betma, a small town located in Central India, thousands of people gather to experience a carnival of its kind. A magnificent event centred around horses, where India’s cultural landscape is starkly on display. From patriarchy to the class system. The haunting world of the crowd engulfs individual identity & there is no face to it.

The moment when the crowd drowns itself in the glow of spectacle, human sensitivity sinks.

All that’s visible is, the spectacle and the spectator.
